ELDOA
What is ELDOA? It is an acromym for Etirements Longitudinaux Décoaptation Ostéo-Articulaire or more simply a “Spine Stretch”. The ELDOA postures were created by French osteopath Guy Voyer with the goal of decompressing each vertebral level independently while simultaneously working at holistic level.

Regardless of what you are doing, you maintain a posture while doing it. These varied postures compress certain areas of the spine while they offer more mobility to another. For example working at a computer always leads to a subconscious posture which allows you to focus on what you are doing. When faulty, these postures usually result in a shift in mental focus and weight that breaks the train of thought because of physical discomfort. This discomfort may also manifest, for example, as a headache.

Do you have postural “aches and pains” or just need to find a good stretch for that “spot” in your lower back, shoulders, or neck? I invite you to come out and explore the world of ELDOA. The ELDOA require basic physical fitness. Inquire about a MFS (Myofascial Stretching) class to prepare yourself if you doubt your current physical ability or have injuries.
